Dining In Century City
3 min read
Century City is the perfect place for all our foodie guests! Our smart city has numerous eateries aimed at any and all diets and food cravings. We’re here to tell you where to go for your next meal when you stay with us.
Mozambik Restaurant
Our top recommendation has to be Mozambik Restaurant. This Afro-Porto restaurant can be found within Colosseum Luxury Hotel where they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Mozambik dining brand began in a single store in Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal in 2005 and has since grown to 28 stores nationally and 1 international restaurant in Lusaka, Zambia. As for the delicious food, you can expect anything from fish cakes and calamari, to prawns, chicken, and Prego main meals.
Canal Walk
The most obvious stop is Canal Walk Shopping Centre. With well over 50 restaurants, cafés, and fast food joints, Canal Walk has something for everyone. For the Italian lovers, head over to Col’Cacchio and PRIMI. If you are looking for fish and chips, Ocean Basket, Cape Town Fish Market, and John Dory’s Fish & Grill will satisfy your needs. Magnifico Bistro, Mugg & Bean, and Tashas are perfect spots for a lunch and coffee date. For the health-conscious, Kauai and Sweetbeet are your best bets. And to satisfy those with a sweet tooth, Cinnabon, Krispy Kreme, Marcel’s, and Milky Lane have got you covered. And that’s only a small portion of the great food places on offer in Canal Walk!
Tiger’s Milk
Tiger’s Milk is located just around the corner from our hotel, at 8 Kinetic Road within the square. In 2014, the first Tiger’s Milk opened its doors in Muizenberg and has since opened over 20 stores. The restaurant offers great, relaxed vibes with excellent food. You can expect steaks, burgers, Tex-Mex, pizzas, and delicious desserts, with great drinks and cocktails.
La Parada
Also located in the square at 1 Energy Lane, is La Parada. If you are looking for a new spin on Spanish tapas, then look no further! La Parada brings together international flavours and cuisines in a tapas-style. Furthermore, you can order sushi, different main courses, salads, and desserts.
Square Café and Wine Bar
Square Café and Wine Bar is our last recommendation in the square and can be found at 3 Energy Lane. This restaurant provides you with everything from a fresh coffee and pastry at 7am to a sit-down delicious dinner. They also recently opened a deli, which serves their freshly baked goods, pies, and salads. And, of course, the wine bar makes sure that all your wine needs are met.
Gusto Urban Italian Restaurant
Located at 4 Conference Lane is Gusto. This trendy and stylish Italian restaurant looks out over the Century City canals and has both indoor and outdoor seating; the outdoor seating is in true Italian piazza style. Gusto serves to-go and deli offerings, delicious Italian cuisine, and an extensive wine list. The food and wine have been excellently paired by their South African sommelier and Italian chef.
Brick Lane Eatery
Brick Lane Eatery describes themselves as ‘Century City’s Hidden Gem’, and can be found at The Quays, 142 Park Lane. The restaurant is situated along the canals and is a popular spot for families with kids and people with dogs. Brick Lane Eatery has a wide menu, including breakfast options, pastries, sandwiches, tapas, light and main meals, salads, flatbreads, and pasta.
Century City has got it all – Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, American, African, and so much more! Come find out for yourself and try some (or all) of the restaurants in our smart city.
